LEAD FACILITY MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Location: Spring Hill, TN

The Lead Facility Maintenance Technician oversees maintenance duties and focuses on building repairs, upgrades, & projects while following all SOP and safety procedures.  They will also focus on building additions, preventive maintenance of the building systems (including but not limited to: air conditioning, heating and ventilation, filter changes, door repairs, new construction and general repairs to walls, painting of walls and floors, sealing of production rooms, upgrades to facilities, repair and improvements to ceiling systems and/or roof systems, repairs to any part of the building and plumbing repairs). In addition to the afore mentioned responsibly, the Lead Facility Maintenance Technician must plan projects, guide Facility Technicians, assign tasks and projects, plan BOM for projects, report on project status to management, provide daily updates to management and accept responsibility for adherence to project timelines, quality of work accomplished and final project completions

  • Assist with the training of all new employees in facility maintenance processes, procedures, and responsibilities;
  • Provide direction and encouragement to staff;
  • Assign daily tasks to facility technicians and monitor staff performance;
  • Facilitate and maintain 5-S implementation and ongoing requirements;
  • Conduct in-depth problem solving of facility maintenance tasks;

MATERIAL HANDLER - RAWS/WAREHOUSE (DAY & NIGHT SHIFTS AVAILABLE)

Location: Spring Hill, TN

The Material Handler- Raws/Warehouse completes raw material pulls and ensures the warehouse is kept organized and clean while maintaining employee safety and quality of product.   

  • Load and unload carriers;
  • Operate forklifts and follow strict forklift safety guidelines;
  • Pull raw ingredient materials according to both the work order and the priority list from the daily production schedule;

RESEARCH & FORMULATION SUPERVISOR

Location: Spring Hill, TN

Job Overview

This role oversees capsule formulation and research, as well as all other research functions, such as product stability, blend validations, and general blend physical properties for various dosage forms. While overseeing capsule formulation and general blend physical properties, they will oversee this part of the general Product Development Process. As part of overseeing blend physical properties, this role will be responsible for developing internal physical specifications.


Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead formulation of capsule excipient systems, as well as determine internal specifications for blends and ingredients;
  • Conduct research initiatives to make powder properties more contusive for lean manufacturing;
  • Provide input to quoting team on formula-specific influences on costs and scrap;
  • Oversee blend and product validations in cooperation with on-site ISO-17025 lab;

STRATEGIC SOURCING MANAGER

Location: Spring Hill, TN

The Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for Armada Nutrition’s end to end sourcing of products that are essential for our operations. In addition, the individual will be responsible for all phases of sourcing that require the skills necessary to identify cost saving opportunities, create competitive environments, creatively negotiate, and generate contracts to assure seamless availability of all products to support the company objectives.

  • Take overall responsibility for the strategic sourcing management goals of the company and implement action items to ensure that those goals are achieved 
  • Conducts supplier analysis, evaluates potential suppliers, and manages the overall supplier qualification process
  • Responsible for negotiations for best possible costs that achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers
  • Analyze industry trends to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and utilize emerging opportunities
  • Research and anticipate shifts in the negotiating power of suppliers
  • Implement supplier agreements/contracts when beneficial
  • Manages the sampling and product approval process for new products
  • Manages and maintains a sample library for the R&D Lab

AUTOMATION CONTROLS ENGINEER

Location: Spring Hill, TN

Job Overview

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in industrial automation, with a focus on PLC/HMI systems, communications architecture, and integration with robotics and databases. The successful candidate will have experience in food or pharmaceuticals manufacturing or powder processing, and be able to apply technology that controls and monitors the production and delivery of the company's products. In this role, you will prepare and implement new equipment, as well as troubleshoot, repair, modify and maintain the existing automation control hardware and software systems. You will support daily operations to ensure the effectiveness and safety of all equipment, processes, personnel, and associated procedures, with the primary objective of improving and streamlining workflow. This person must be capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams and factory managers with exceptional interpersonal, organizational and management skills, demonstrating the ability to be an innovator and change agent.



Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design and develop PLC/HMI software applications based on given requirements and specifications; install, review, repair and update where needed;
  • Generate/maintain PLC ladder logic with an emphasis on generating code that is organized, structured, documented, maintainable, and reusable using existing programming standards;
  • Generate/maintain aesthetic HMI screens for machinery that provide sufficient feedback for troubleshooting;
  • Develop an understanding of the production machinery and become the in-house expert on control systems operation and troubleshooting (e.g. PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, etc.); Provide training to lower level engineers and maintenance technicians;
  • Support maintenance and sustaining teams in troubleshooting difficult equipment failures.
  • Create and participate in reviews with Maintenance & Ops to ensure proper implementation and effectiveness of controls and automation features and benefits; Debug and optimize automated processes to maximize cycle time and uptime;
  • Interpret electrical and mechanical design drawings for equipment (e.g. AutoCAD, SolidWorks);
  • Research, design, and develop equipment/processes to optimize productivity and workflow;
  • Work with External Sales Engineers to provide input with equipment design and quote preparation as required;
  • Technical writing of User/Operating Manual with Set-up Instructions (SOC), Troubleshooting Guide, Safety Protocol, Spare Parts List with Vendor Part number;

ENCAP MACHINE OPERATOR

Job Overview

The Encaps Machine Operator is responsible to accurately process blend into a capsule form according to written instruction and in compliance with cGMPs and SOPs.

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintains thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment related to the encapsulation process, including: room and equipment cleanliness, machinery setup, product verification (before, during, and after product run)

SHIPPING DOCK COORDINATOR (Mon-Fri/Split Shift)

Location: Spring Hill, TN

The Shipping Dock Coordinator oversees Armada outbound shipments and Prinova Distribution Warehouse such as processing orders, data entry, filing, etc. while maintaining employee safety and quality of product.

  • Provide required training and direction to Material Handlers;
  • Verify packing lists, BOL’s and paperwork for outbound orders;
  • Load and unload carriers; operate forklifts and follow strict safety guidelines;
  • Work with shipping coordinator ensuring picked shipments are staged and accurate
  • Make packaging inventory labels;
  • Schedule freight carrier pick-ups;

The Quality Supervisor oversees supervision of QA inspectors and training functions needed to produce, inspect, and test products in the product fulfillment process according to FDA and other applicable regulatory standards while maintaining employee safety.  

  • Oversee all quality inspector function in the facility and ensure systems adhere to Quality Manual;
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the Critical Control Points (CCP’s), Food Safety Plan and associated risks;
  • Provide direction, support, and communication to all employees in the facility regarding quality systems, guidelines, and standards compliance;
  • Support product incident problem solving and resolution by identifying causes to product quality incidents and using direct staff and collaborating with operations peers to quickly understand issue;
  •  Lead to control product and prevent further incident by implementing effective solutions;
  •  Document and track incident reports, corrective actions, and material reviews;
  • Ensure finished product formulations and specifications meet customer requirements;
  • Support internal audits to ensure policies and regulations of FDA (cGMP), TDA, customer, third party certifiers and internal SOPs are followed;
  • Maintain and monitor food safety plan and HARPC Plan to insure regulatory requirements are met;
  • Interface with outside governmental agencies, such as: USDA, FDA, TDA, etc. and to consumers and customers through investigation and response to complaints;
  • Interface with customers for their audit requirements of our production facilities through continuous monitoring of the Supplier Qualification Program;
  • Maintain records of internal and external deviations, incident reports, corrective/preventative actions and employee training;
  • Monitor and track instrument calibrations;
  • Ensure staff follows all safety procedures;
  • Follow and enforce cGMP, food safety, and quality guidelines and processes as established in department SOPs;
  • Monitors cGMP and addresses nonconformance;
  • Responsible for releasing quality holds after investigations and testing are complete;

QA MANAGER

The QA Manager oversees supervision of QA Inspectors and training functions needed to produce, inspect, and test products in the product fulfillment process according to Customer, FDA and other applicable regulatory standards while maintaining employee safety.

  • Support internal audits to ensure policies and regulations of FDA (cGMP), TDA, third party certifiers and internal SOPs are followed;
  • Maintain and monitor HACCP/HARPC Program to insure plant sanitation requirements are met;
  • Interface with outside governmental agencies, such as: USDA, FDA, TDA, etc., 3rd party auditors such as: BRC, QAI, OU, etc., and to consumers and customers through investigation and response to complaints;
  • Interface with customers for their audit requirements of our production facilities through continuous monitoring of the Supplier Qualification Program;
  • Maintain records of internal and external deviations, incident reports, corrective/preventative actions and employee training;
  • Monitor and track instrument calibrations;
  • Ensure staff follows all safety procedures;

Requirements and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a preferred core science, engineering or management; Master degree is a plus;
  • 7-10 years of experience preferred with a demonstrated track record of increased responsibilities;
  • Ability to verbally communicate with all levels throughout the organization;
  • College mathematics required;
  • Make educated judgments on correctness, accuracy, and appropriateness of information;
  • Must be able to organize, and prioritize and make decisions;
  • Must be able to create and maintain systems for keeping up on details on multiple projects;
  • Provide reminders of things coming up, administering tasks between parties and create and maintain files on various projects;
